Founder and Instructor, Evergreen Wilderness Guides
The highest moments in my life are being a family man and loving Father. I enlisted in the United States Army National Guard and served in the 28th Mechanized Infantry Division at 17. I paid for college with the G.I. Bill and gained a B.S. in Geology. My passion for the forrest and mountains started at the University of Pittsburgh in Bradford, Pennsylvania and the Alleghany National Forrest. I am a Professional Geologist and environmental consultant with 25 years of experience across the United States. I sharpened my climbing, canyoneering, and life skills part time instructing for six seasons with Outward Bound West/Wilderness. I am a Wilderness First Responder, former certified Emergency Medical Technician and guiding / instructing since 2003. I have been climbing for over 25 years joined the American Mountain Guides Association and certified as a Single Pitch Instructor in 2014, the same year we founded EWG.
” Life is the same as the wilderness, it is full of peaks and valleys.”wq
